Last Sunday (14th of May) Rhianna’s Swing Charity organised their very first Charity Ball at the Towers Hotel & Spa in Jersey Marine, Swansea.  Rhianna’s Swing, a charity setup in memory of Rhianna Chellew who sadly passed away last year due to a brain tumour, is raising money to build a park for disabled and wheelchair bound children in the Gnoll Country Estate in Neath.

200 guests were treat to an amazing night with a 3-course dinner, a live dance show from the Maria Evans academy of Dance, and live entertainment from the band Variation.  An auction and raffle with prizes from local businesses helped bring the total raised on the night to £6,023.

Fabulously hosted by Tony James and Bev Thomas, the night was a complete success.  An emotional slideshow in memory of Rhianna was played with the talented Vicki Gardner singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” followed by slides of the charity events hosted by Rhianna’s Swing over the last 12 months.

Rhianna’s Swing fundraising efforts have so far raised just over £30k but still a long way off their £75k target.

We would like to thank everyone who came and supported, plus those who help arrange such a fantastic night.
